Wishing you all the very best for 2016

I love this time of year, a little time and space if we choose to take it, a turning point. Solstice, Christmas and then New Year: letting go of the past and embracing the chance once more to renew. Yes and time to dream.

“You already have all the wisdom you need within and success is simply a case of doing what you already know and being who you already are, and of course giving yourself the pause to recognise and honour that”.

With that in mind what are your plans, intentions, hopes and dreams this year? Whatever you fully commit to now is what will manifest in your life – no question. So prepare now for a year being the best you can be.

I hope part of that will allow us to connect – let’s hope my diary for the coming year inspires you to join me!

28th Feb, 6 & 13th March Self Hypnosis
Some people learn self-hypnosis quickly and others take more time. How quickly or slowly you learn has little to do with how effective it will be for you once you have mastered it. Self-hypnosis is a skill, like any other skill it requires practice, the more you practice the better you become….

Almost one whole year since the first THE ME I WANT TO BE classes When we finished in July I stopped recording and worked on the book cover, gathered some reviews from professionals and planned our first retreat to Turkey – see our pics here. It turned out to be beyond all our expectations, so much so that Seda and I are planning 3 in 2016!!!! A detox in May, next September’s event, now unofficially known as “not the detox” both in Datca, Turkey, and a trip to India over Christmas – massive smile in my heart.

After Turkey it was head down for another round of edits and I am pleased to say the final version of THE ME I WANT TO BE will be out soon – yay – and as I promised you will be the first to know. Everything will be on www.vickirebecca.com when it’s done!I’m thinking 8th March (International Women’s Day) for the launch. I’ll have to find a suitable gig to make that work – if you can think of any appropriate events do let me know. I’ll have to find a suitable gig to make that work – if you know of anything appropriate do let me know. The book has taken blood, sweat, tears and a fair whack of cash – so I would really appreciate you telling your friends, and of course write me a review once it is up on Amazon.

Anyway pressie time –

Synchronicity brought me here – of course.

I went to Delhi when I was 20 years old – I was awestruck, just mesmerised. I knew I would have to come back but I said I would wait until I had at least 6 weeks – this is it.

I spent the first 10 days with Jessica (my daughter) travelling the backwaters of Kerala where we had such a fabulous Christmas – so lovely to say that and actually mean it! After a tear-filled goodbye at Cochin Airport, very early on Boxing Day morning, I went back to the hotel and deleted the ex from Facebook (having good reason and giving a long enough for any potential step up). That may sound trivial but for an addict that usually holds on to everything too long – I did well! The result has been an incredible sense of freedom, verging on bliss out. As a bonus I am falling in love with this country a little more each day – truly beautiful people in every way. Life has taken on another meaning, I can hardly believe the incredible happiness I feel just being here.
Next stop was Varkala beach aka as “Happyhippyville”, where I practiced yoga twice daily and received Thai massage / stretching therapy helping me back into shape after a stressful year which had impinged on my health. Some soul sister time with, Seda, and her group of lovely Turkish ladies and it was north to Osho Ashram in Pune. After a marathon train journey, Indian city life came as a shock – so polluted. O how I missed my hills and glens those first days there but thankfully the ashram was a world unto its own. There I participated in primal therapy- very powerful. I am still taking it all in and integrating the changes as I sit on the beach in Goa, preparing for the work year ahead and taking some very precious time for me. I’d like to send you all a deep breath of that chill out feeling right now.

The pics so far are here- my Facebook page – so join me in spirit on this incredible journey.

and since we are on the subject you may (if not scroll down) be interested in this Vedantic Philosophy!!! I’d never even heard of it, but when Seda read THE ME I WANT TO BE she informed me it is “based on” it! How lovely to realise these truths in my own sweet smorgasbord kind of way. Anyway I did some investigation online-

A Brief Overview of Vedanta

Vedanta is one of the world’s most ancient religious philosophies and one of its broadest. Based on the Vedas, the sacred scriptures of India, Vedanta affirms the oneness of existence, the divinity of the soul, and the harmony of religions. Vedanta is the philosophical foundation of Hinduism; but while Hinduism includes aspects of Indian culture, Vedanta is universal in its application and is equally relevant to all countries, all cultures, and all religious backgrounds.

A closer look at the word “Vedanta” is revealing: “Vedanta” is a combination of two words: “Veda” which means “knowledge” and “anta” which means “the end of” or “the goal of.” In this context the goal of knowledge isn’t intellectual—the limited knowledge we acquire by reading books. “Knowledge” here means the knowledge of God as well as the knowledge of our own divine nature. Vedanta, then, is the search for Self-knowledge as well as the search for God.

Vedanta further asserts that the goal of human life is to realize and manifest our divinity. Not only is this possible, it is inevitable. Our real nature is divine; God-realization is our birth right. Sooner or later, we will all manifest our divinity—either in this or in future lives—for the greatest truth of our existence is our own divine nature.

Wow – love it.

O well as I keep saying we do already know.
You already have the intuition, and remember that first intuition IS the right one. It’s when we pontificate that we become confused. I’ve been listening to: Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, a guy who worked with the richest people on the planet and he found that without exception they made decisions fast and changed them slowly. They were working on that first instinct, and wondering not what they could get but how they could serve. So once again do what you already know, be what you wish to create in the world and ask how you can serve.

What if you, being you, is all it takes to change everything ¬your life; everyone around you, and the worl

I look forward to hearing your news. HAVE A FABULOUS 2016

Lots of Love
