Become a permanent and lasting non-smoker in just 2 hours

Being caught in the trap of believing you are addicted to nicotine is a nightmare, I know I have been there, Almost timing your life to the next cigarette, figuring out when you let new people know you are a smoker, wondering when it is OK to nip outside to light up and just how bad your breath is. I was actually still smoking when I was a fitness instructor, believe it or not, in the days when my clients hid from me in the Co-op in case I saw all the calories in their shopping trolleys, little did they know I’d be soon outside round the back like puffing billy – so you don’t need to tell me about the shame, I already know.end enslavement

I also know all the excuses. Smoking is one of those things where you can give yourself a million reasons as to why not -” it’s my break, my reward, my stress manager, it goes with the coffee”. You imagine you can’t do without it you’ve been doing it so long …

However the truth is it is nothing more than a habit. I know there’s lots of hype these days about the cocktail of really nasty chemicals that the tobacco industry seems to have no qualms in selling us but the truth is when you stop the most you experience is a mild detox as they leave your system. Any other symptoms are psychological so as long as you address the areas of your life where you think you are going to miss it and replace it with new and better behaviours you’ll be fine – you won’t believe how easy it actually is.

5 steps to becoming a non-smoker for life

* buy a notebook and from now on every time you fancy a fag – have one – but write in your book why you want one, what need it is fulfilling, how you felt before and how you felt after

* change something about how you smoke – any major habit, for instance, which hand you hold it in

* list the benefits of stopping and compare to the benefits of continuing

* figure out the main reasons you smoke and new healthier behaviours to replace them with –

There may be other aspects of your life you need to look at like stress management, for example instead of smoking you can practice a relaxation technique, or lifestyle changes for example instead of smoking you can practice deep breathing techniques or learning to move yourself

* set a date and stop

Hi my name is John and I am a non smoker. I cant tell you how good it is to be able to say that. Before I went to see Vicki for hypnotherapy I had been a smoker for Thirty two years. In that time I had only really made two half hearted attempts to stop smoking and I had more or less resigned myself to being a smoker for the rest of my life. I used to envy people who had stopped smoking.
I must admit on my way to see Vicki I wasn’t confident about stopping and I felt quite anxious about even trying. I needn’t have worried, Vicki put me at my ease almost immediately and even had me laughing about how serious I was being. I found the whole process to be very relaxing. A bit like a very good guided meditation. From that day I found I had lots of energy and a renewed vigour for life. My confidence had a real boost. It’s great to be a non smoker and I don’t miss it one bit.
    Thanks Vicki.
